I am a Scientist at Raytheon BBN Technologies. Previously, i received my Ph.D. from Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University.

Most of my work involves building some really cool software systems. I have found this to be very rewarding and motivating for me.

Specifically, my dissertation work research investigated Interactive Behaviors that Conversational Agents can exhibit to support Multi-Party Interaction i.e. groups of users working together on interactive tasks. I worked with Dr. Carolyn P. Rosé while pursuing this line of work. Details of my research work can be found in the research section. Also, my project wiki provides some additional information.

Before joining LTI, i have worked on Speech Technologies for Indian Languages at the Language Technologies Research Center at IIIT Hyderabad.

I graduated from Punjab Engineering College. I was awarded the Silver medal for the Best Final Year project in the Computer Science and Engineering department.

In my spare time, i have involved myself with several student organizations on campus.

I like to design posters and other printed communications.
